Leigh has also been coaching many well known athletes from the East Midlands region for sometime, including Lucy Gossage, Peter Lynas and Julie Lambourne, all of whom have made a real impact on the age group scene. Between them they have won European Silver medals, BTF National titles at both Triathlon and Duathlon, many overall race and age-group wins and had amazing Ironman success.
Lucy Gossage showed amazing form throughout the 2010 season winning a multitude of UK races, including Gold at the National Duathlon Championships, taking the win and breaking the course record at The Vitruvian Triathlon by 8 minutes in September. A truly awesome performance and a record that will stand for some time. On the International Ironman circuit Lucy placed 3rd overall at the European Ironman Championships in Frankfurt with an amazing 9:53, and followed this up being the first GB age-group finisher at the Hawaii World Ironman Championships with an awesome time of 10.01 in the Kona heat!
